Petoskey Stone Bookends | Michigan Rocks and Resin Bookend Set

Some rocks are just too good to leave where you found them.

These handmade bookends put some of Michigan’s most interesting stones on display in a way that’s both useful and different. Each set is made with Michigan-sourced stones suspended in clear resin, with Petoskey stones making up the majority of the mix along with Leland Blues.

You may also find a Michigan lightning stone, puddingstone, Charlevoix stone, unakite, Yooperlite, Kona dolomite, or other interesting Michigan finds mixed in. These additional stones vary from set to set and aren’t guaranteed to be included in every one.

No two bookends are identical. The stones, colors, patterns, sizes, and placement naturally vary from one to the next, giving every set its own character.

At approximately 3 lbs per bookend (6+ lbs per set), they have plenty of weight to actually hold up a row of books. Four small clear silicone feet on the bottom of each bookend provide a little extra grip and help protect the surface underneath.

Choose Your Style

Classic — A more traditional finished look with the stones fully enclosed beneath the back surface.

Exposed Stone — Select stones intentionally protrude slightly from the back while still being coated in resin, giving the bookends a more dimensional, stone-forward look.

Because these are individually handmade using natural stone and resin, small bubbles and other minor variations may be present, particularly on the backside. This is part of working with porous natural stones and clear resin and will vary from piece to piece.

Returns & Problems

I want you to be happy with your bookends. Because every set is individually handmade and naturally varies from the photos shown, I’m happy to send a video or photos of your completed set for approval before shipping upon request.

If your order arrives damaged or there’s a problem with it, please contact me right away and I’ll make it right.

Because these are handmade-to-order items and the clear resin surfaces can be scratched through handling, returns for preference or change of mind are handled on a case-by-case basis and must be returned in original, unused condition.

Custom sets made with customer-supplied stones are not returnable unless they arrive damaged or there is a problem with the order.
